Daiwa SP-MH Neoprene Reel Cover

Daiwa SP-MH Neoprene Reel CoverThis is a nice product. I picked up the Daiwa SP-MH reel case when I visited The Art of Fishing in St Merryn, Cornwall. It’s imported from Japan (no English on the packaging) and the quality shows. It’s a sad fact that Daiwa’s Japanese range of tackle is better than that available on our home shores but it makes this kind of stuff more alluring I suppose.

So what to say about a reel bag… Well, as I already remarked the quality is about as good as it gets in neoprene reel covers – the neoprene is a luxurious 5mm thick and Continue reading “Daiwa SP-MH Neoprene Reel Cover”

Berkley Gulp Sandworm vs Marukyu Power Isome

Gulp Sandworm vs Power IsomeI admit, I’ve been consumed by a new area of our sport. It’s taken all my strength not to let it and all the related new tackle swamp Fishing-Tackle.co.uk, but I can’t contain it any longer.

New Daiwa Saltiga 3500 & 4000 Released

New Daiwa Saltiga 4000As far as light tackle fishing news goes, this is right up there… Daiwa have released the new Saltiga spinning reels in smaller sizes, including a baby 3500. Happy days!

When Daiwa released the new Saltiga range of spinning reels back in the tail end of 2010, questions were rightly asked over what this meant for the excellent Daiwa Saltiga Game range. Well our questions (and prayers) have been answered in the form of the new 3500 & 4000 sized reels launched recently in Japan. Unlike the Saltiga Game range, the new reels have kept the aesthetic appearance of their big brothers. They don’t appear to be disadvantaged in any way either – just pint sized versions of the bigger reels. New features such as the lightweight Zaion Continue reading “New Daiwa Saltiga 3500 & 4000 Released”
