We’ve spotted an interesting looking, new fishing reel at the back of a UK sea angling magazine. There’s only a small picture to go on but the multiplier reels – which look to be manufactured predominantly for sea fishing – appear to be branded as ‘Akios’, a brand we haven’t heard of before. In fact searching for the brand online has almost drawn a complete blank. The only possible

Miriabu – newcomer to Big Game Reels
Just stumbled across Miriabu reel (and hooks) being imported into the UK by Advanta Angling. Not much to go on as yet but the reels look pretty, if not familiar in design.

New innovations like ‘Mag Sealed’ waterproofing could be included, as featured in this year’s release of the new Daiwa Certate in Japan.
Details are sketchy but it is rumoured that a new colour Continue reading “New Daiwa Saltiga Z Reels for 2010?”
