The two hour journey to Stoneleigh Park for this year’s Tackle & Guns Show gave me plenty of time to think about what tackle and which manufacturers I wanted to see. A manufacturer that was front of mind was new carp brand, Avip Carp – a company that we’ve been following since they launched at the start of the year (Avid Carp Tackle). I couldn’t wait to see all the new products up close.
Once in the show I wasn’t disappointed. The Avid Carp display was part of a huge Preston Innovations trade stand, also featuring Korum alongside their established match gear. Fishing-Tackle.co.uk were once again pleased to attend the Tackle & Guns Trade Show this week – the pinnacle of the fishing tackle calendar here in the UK. The Tackle & Guns team should be congratulated on another fantastic show – it’s always well organised right from gate and I’ve never heard a bad word said about 
We’ve just heard on the grape vine that Nash, the carp fishing tackle specialists will be unveiling a new brand later this month named PEG ONE. Details are currently thin on the ground but in a press release introducing a new Brand Manager to the Nash team, 
Three years ago 30 Plus carp fishing products came to the market with a goal to supply well thought out and test proven tackle for specimen anglers. The range now includes items for carp, barbel and pike anglers following the same proven strategy working with a number of angling consultants to get products right before hitting the shelves.
I’ve just received a flyer through the post for the Vintage Fishing Tackle Fair housed at Romsey Community School in Romsey, Hampshire. The date this year is Sunday 10th October, from 9am to 3pm. I’ve been many times before and always enjoy working through the various stands and meeting exhibitioners – there’s some true experts at these events. Buying, selling, swapping and valuations are invited.
